How to Open and Install Mothers' Security Certificate - PC
If you've been presented with an Internet Explorer browser screen warning you not to continue when you attempt to view any secure pages on our site, or have received a security warning while using Outlook Express, you need to install our Security Certificate.
Our servers Security Certificate (which allows use of secure https: connections) is generated locally by Mothers Computers, instead of being purchased from a commercial provider. Consequently, your out-of-the-box web browser and Outlook Express, do not know the source of this certificate and will warn you about that until the certificate is installed.
You will be presented with the screens shown below during installation. After reviewing the screens, simply click on the Certificate at the top-left of this page, select "Open" and complete the installation. It's not hard to do, takes about 8 seconds to accomplish, and it's painless.
How to Open and Install Mothers' Security Certificate - MAC

Download the Root Certificate. |

Double-click the uncompressed mail.cedarville.net.crt file on your desktop. |

Keychain Access will launch, and you will be prompted to add the certificate to a
keychain. From the drop-down box next to Keychain: choose X509 anchors. |

Click OK. |

You will be prompted to authenticate as a local system administrator. Log in with
your local computer's system administrator account. |

Once authenticated, the certificate should be imported. Close Keychain Access. |

Click on the Certificate at the top-left of this page. You will be presented with a screen similar to the one above. Select Open |

When the Certificate dialog appears, click on Install Certificate.. |

Click Next > to Import the certificate. |

Windows Vista Users - Make the selections as indicated by the arrows
and the red text then proceed to Step 5.
All other Windows Operating Systems, skip down to Step 4b. |

Select: "Automatically select the certificate store based on the type of certificate" and click Next. |

When the Completing the Certificate Import Wizard screen appears, click on Finish. |

Select Yes when asked "Do you want to install the certificate?" |

When you reach the screen shown above, click OK and the Security Certificate installation is completed.
